REimagiNEWaste Hackathon 6:
E-Waste Reduced and Energy Saved
The REimagiNEWaste 6 was held with the theme “E-Waste Reduced and Energy Saved.” This event was part of the mandate from the Central Pollution Control Board, requiring all states to conduct hackathons on waste. The event was highly successful due to collaboration with the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, Inunity, and COMEDKares. This partnership ensured alignment with state-level waste management and environmental protection priorities.
- 374 participants joined the hackathon, conducted across four COMEDKare centers in Bengaluru.
- 9 innovative ideas reached the finals, addressing e-waste reduction and energy conservation.
- 3 solutions were selected for their high environmental and societal impact.
- 13 teams registered post-hackathon to refine their ideas for implementation.
- Prizes were awarded by the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, with the Chief Minister present on Environment Day.
